PCC and Chief Constable on tour in east of county

Suffolk’s PCC Tim Passmore and the Chief Constable, Douglas Paxton have embarked on a series of public meetings and roadshows to hear first-hand your views of policing in the area,

The next public meeting will be held at Market Hall, High Street, Saxmundham, on Monday 21 July 2014 at 6.30pm and a more informal event, where the Chief Constable and PCC meet members of the public in the county’s high streets, will take place on Friday 25 July opposite the Britten Centre in Lowestoft’s London Road North.

These events are an opportunity for the public to ask questions of the Commissioner and the Chief Constable and to discuss policing issues with them directly..
Tim Passmore said: “Having direct contact with the people of Suffolk that I represent is extremely important to me.
“I make myself available to anyone who needs to speak to me through one-to-one surgeries or via e-mail and on the phone, but it is equally important to have these opportunities for people to just turn up and have a conversation with us.
“I do hope people will accept this invite to come and find out more about policing. Douglas Paxton, the Chief Constable, and I will be pleased to discuss any matter that arises.
“Public engagement is a key responsibility for every PCC and covering such a large geographical area, this is quite a challenge so we have set up meetings and roadshows in each district and borough.”
